CHANCE Afrika Programs

CHANCE Afrika has 3 main programs. Each of the program areas has both current and planned activities, with new ideas in the making.

1) SOMA Afrika

This is Swahili for 'READ Africa' – The main activity under this program is our signature Education Scholarship Program promoting access to a quality education.

2) CHEZA Afrika

This is Swahili for 'PLAY Africa' - This has grown to be one of our biggest programs and perhaps the most fun too. We use Sports and sports-related activities as an outreach program, an enabler and a great mobilizer to bring the local people together. Crowds provide the opportunity to serve and we create a forum where people feel free & relaxed to join in, participate & listen to us.

• Sports & Mentoring Camps  

3) JAMII Afrika

This is Swahili for 'FAMILY Africa', promoting family & Community Health. This program focuses on overall community development by looking into the health and wellness of the community as well as family empowerment through education, business/apprentice training & access to micro-financing. This program seeks to empower one family at a time.

• Malaria - Awareness & Prevention Programs
• HIV AIDS – Awareness & Prevention Programs
• Reach-a-Million, Test-a-Million  
• Testing for HIV/AIDS
• Orphans & children with AIDS
• Treating the sick in the Slums & in Marginalized Communities
• Helping communities in IDP (internally Displaced Person’s) Camps
